What Should I Expect?

We know visiting a new church can be nerve-racking, sometimes even frustrating.  We want to make your experience at TBC as worry-free as possible.

Where do I go?
We have a group of greeters that arrive each Sunday morning at 9:15 to help you find where you're going. They can show you to our newly renovated nursery and classes for the adults and older children.  Children age 3 and below will attend nursery, while older children and teenagers have classes specifically for their grade level.  We have many adult classes including a college and career class, a discipleship class, a newly married class, couples classes, a seniors class, and a womens class.  Each class teaches lessons geared specifically for the student. All of our pastoral staff teach a Sunday School class.

What is the worship service like?
After Sunday School Children ages 3 through kindergarden move to toddler's church.  Children in 1st through 5th grade attend our newly adapted Children's Church program.
Teenagers and Adults attend our worship service.
We encourage parents to allow children to attend the classes designed just for them.  Not only will they get more out of church, but you will too.  We have a pager system in our nursery, so should you be needed our nursery staff will page you.

Our worship service includes thought-provoking congregational music, special music, Scripture reading, and a message.

We use both hymns and choruses, and find that the blend gives a nice sense of balance to our service.

Expect the worship service to start promptly at 10:30 and finish around 11:40.

What should I wear?
We do not have a dress code at TBC, however we encourage you to dress modestly.  You will find that our ministry leaders and most of our church family dress in traditional "Sunday Dress," however it is our desire for you to feel comfortable and right at home at Temple.

Our ministries include 136 missionaries, AWANAS, Bus Ministry, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Toddler’s Church, Choirs, Sonshine Club, and a Jail ministry for both inmates and their families, we constantly seek to serve others in our community in the name of Christ. Our purpose as stated in our charter has never changed. “The object of this church shall be the assembling of ourselves together for public worship of God, the salvation of souls, through the preaching of the Gospel as provided in the shed blood and the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary, the edification of believers, and the propagation of the Gospel through the whole world by the empowering, energizing work of the Holy Spirit.” We trust the Lord will keep us true always to our calling.
